Rasa – The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Seminary criticized the House of Saud over the martyrdom of Ayatollah al-Nimr, saying that they will suffer the same fate as Saddam and the Shah.

RNA – Speaking to the media, Ayatollah Mortaza Moqtadaei, strongly condemned Saudi Arabia’s execution of Ayatollah Shaykh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr, calling this crime by the Saudi regime as “great and oppressive.”

 

The secretary of the Supreme Council of Seminaries stressed that the Saudi royal family should learn from recent history, stating that the oppressive Pahlavi dynasty committed many crimes against the Iran’s clergy and scholars because of their religious commitments and duties to awaken the people, including the use of incarceration, torture and murder against them.

 

“Through martyrdom, the scholars, religious leaders and people were achieved eternal life but with the overthrow of his regime, the Shah [Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi] went to hell,” he said.

 

Ayatollah Moqtadaei also pointed to the fate of the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, saying that he imprisoned or martyred many people and scholars who stood up against his oppressive rule.

 

The member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts said that Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad-Baqir al-Sadr achieved martyrdom, whereas Saddam lies only in humiliation, degradation, destruction and hell.

 

His Eminence expressed deep concern about the situation of Shi’as living in Saudi Arabia, saying that Saudi Shi’as are an oppressed minority who are under pressure every day and give their lives in martyrdom, especially the scholars who have also been thrown into prison and have been tortured.

 

The Vice President of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom stressed the House of Saud will suffer the same fate as Saddam and the Shah, but unfortunately, rather than learning from his fate, the Saudi regime is increasing its oppression and crimes.

 

He added that Martyr Ayatollah al-Nimr is alive has an eternal life, but the fate of the leaders of the House of Saud, based on the promise of God, will burn in the depths of the hellfire.

 

He added that with every injustice that the House of Saud commits, they take their regime a step closer to collapse and decay.

 

The Vice President of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom expressed regret at the death of Ayatollah al-Nimr, saying that the seminaries and the Islamic world strongly condemn this ugly action.
