Ayatollah Araki meeting with late Roknabadi

RNA - According to Iran's Taghrib News, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki visited the bereaved family of the late Iran’s former Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi.

Offering his heartfelt condolences and deep sorrow over the loss, the grand Ayatollah praised the late Iranian diplomat for his Jihad, sacrifice and attempts he made for the sake of God. 

 
Ayatollah Araki went on to quote a verse from the holy Quran as praising, “Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was rightious among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring.” (40:8).
 
The Iranian diplomat, Roknabadi, had been missing since the tragic Mina stampede in Saudi Arabia back in September. until recently, when his body was identified after DNA testing.

Saudi Arabia claims nearly 770 people were killed in Mina, but officials with Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization say about 4,700 people, including 465 Iranians, lost their lives in the tragedy. The number of the Iranian fatalities exceeds that of other countries.
