RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi, a senior member of Pakistan’s Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, said that the United States’ infiltration and interference exists in every Islamic country, including Pakistan. In some countries, this interference is open and in other countries, it is hidden. “But in general, wherever there are economic and political interests the US has tried to interfere in them,” he said.

He referred to the ways that the US seeks to interfere in other Islamic countries, saying the easiest way that the US can interfere in Islamic countries is through its embassies and diplomats although this is a crime under the laws of most countries.

The Friday prayer leader of Lahore added that another way that the US tries to interfere in other countries is through the political parties which are willing do the Americans’ bidding in their countries. They financially support such parties and also appoint subordinate political figures to do their bidding until they come to power and can fulfill the Americans’ interests in their countries.

Hujjat al-Islam Rizvi pointed to the importance of Pakistan for the US, explaining that Pakistan is a large Muslim country whose people are very strong religiously. In addition, Pakistan has many natural resources which the US has its greedy eyes on. “This human and natural capital that exists in Pakistan, has a lot of political value for Western countries,” he said

The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Pakistan explained that the US has gone to great efforts to weaken the religiosity of Pakistani Muslims because they know that if Muslims gain power, the Western powers cannot continue to exploit them and that Muslims will begin to resist their demands. “American infiltration in the cultural centres of the country, including the media, plays a significant role in this regard,” he said.

The Pakistani Shi’ite scholar said that the former Soviet Union had a significant infiltration in Afghanistan in the 1970s which in turn, had an impact on the entire region. Because of this, the US entered Pakistan in an attempt to establish Pakistan as regional counterbalance against Afghanistan.

Hujjat al-Islam Rizvi stated that Pakistan has good relations with Saudi Arabia and this has led to many American measures of control being dictated to Pakistani leaders by Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia trained terrorists in Pakistan and sent them to other regional countries at an enormous financial cost.

“The US created the Taliban to fight the Soviet Union but now, they cannot avoid the consequences of their actions. Through Saudi Arabia, the US seeks to infiltrate the cultural fabric of Pakistan,” the Pakistani scholar said.

Hujjat al-Islam Rizvi also referred to the recent terrorist attacks in Paris said what happened in Paris reflected the US’ infiltration in Afghanistan and Pakistan which has been to the detriment of all of humanity.
