RNA – In a meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Lotfi-Niasar, the director of IRIB Qom, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Mahdi Mohaqqeqi, the CEO of Rasa News Agency, referred to the tragedy in Mina and the incompetence of the House of Saud in managing the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
Hujjat al-Islam Mohaqqeqi explained that according to the verses of the Holy Quran, God gave preference to the Children of Israel because they obeyed the prophets of their time, served the religion of God and took advantage of the opportunities given to them, but they thought that this preference was due to their racial characteristics. Due to perceived superiority, they became arrogant and rebelled against God’s commands and as a result of this, God removed his blessings from them.
The CEO of Rasa News Agency warned the House of Saud not to become overcome by pride and arrogance just because they are the managers of the Hajj pilgrimage. He called on the Saudis to accept the inherent dignity of human beings and to respect the honour of the pilgrims in order to protect this blessing.
Referring to the Quranic verse: “...Yet all might and dignity belongs to God and His Apostle and the faithful” [63:8], His Eminence said the Holy Quran calls Muslims to maintain dignity, “but unfortunately, with the tragedy in Mina, the authorities of Saudi Arabia have shown that they do not value the lives of the Hajj pilgrims.”
Hujjat al-Islam Mohaqqeqi also referred to the heinous crimes committed by Saudi Arabia since they launched their war on Yemen in March and explained that this war also contributed to the tragedy in Mina. Elite security and police forces were deployed to Yemen and thus, “experienced police forces were not present in Mina and the dignity of the Hajj pilgrims was damaged by inexperienced volunteer forces.”
He stated that the footprints of the Zionists are present in the crimes against the Islamic world, saying that just as the constant plots by Jews against Islam and the Prophet Muhammad have been mentioned in the Quran, a similar movement has also emerged in the present era under the name of “World Zionism.”
“This ideology is plotting against the Islamic nation. As some of those familiar with security issues have stated, it is possible that Zionist intelligence services and Western spy agencies were involved in the Mina tragedy and laying the groundwork for it,” he argued.
In another part of his speech, Hujjat al-Islam Mohaqqeqi referred to the freedom of expression in the Islamic Republic of Iran and noted that all praise be to God, the blessings of the Islamic Revolution, there is an atmosphere of compassionate criticism and acceptance in Iran.
