RNA - Ayatollah Jawadi Amoli stated in support of Ayatollah Khamenei’s warning to Saudi officials: “The statement of the Supreme Leader regarding the tragic events in Mina changed the direction of the discourse surrounding it, and forced the Saudi rulers to offer their condolences and commit to identifying all of the deceased.”
Regarding the event of Eid al-Ghadeer, Ayatollah Jawadi Amoli continued: “The culture of Ghadeer makes it incumbent upon those who claim to be followers of the Ahl al-Bayt to work towards the continuation of their path.”
“Ghadeer doesn’t simply mean we hold a celebration and congratulate one another, rather we must understand the culture of Ghadeer and the lessons we can derive from it, and act on those lessons.”
In another part of his speech, alluding to the role of scholars in the spirituality of a society, he stated: “A (spiritually) alive society is neither Eastern nor Western, rather it is one based on the Holy Quran.”
