RNA - The Imam of Kaaba, Shiekh Khalid al-Ghamidi who arrived on a weeklong visit to Pakistan on Thursday, led Friday prayers at the Jamia Masjid Bahria Town.

During his sermon, he hailed the Pakistani people saying the people of Saudi Arabia had great love for Pakistan and the Pakistani people, and they were proud of Pakistan and their Pakistani brethrens.

Sheikh Khalid al-Ghamidi also mentioned Saudi invasion of Yemen claiming that the Saudi government had initiated action against Yemen’s “rebels” not its own.

This is while according to reports, nearly 1,000 innocent civilians have been killed so far in Yemen during the Saudi aggression on the country.

Pakistan has supported the Saudi-led aggression on Yemen but it has refrained from joining the airstrikes.

The Imam of Kaaba said that the enemy wanted to disintegrate the “Muslim ummah” by creating hatred, and the believers should be vigilant of the enemy designs.

On March 28th, people in Karachi took to the streets to condemn the Saudi invasion of Yemen and the Pakistani government’s support.

Quoting verses from the holy Quran, the Imam-e-Kaaba advised Muslims to hold tight to the rope of Allah and be not divided. He also said there was no compulsion in Islam and urged the Islamic states and governments to take care of non-Muslims as well and urged clerics to struggle for a system of justice.

He said that the Muslims were one ummah, they had one God, one Prophet (PBUH), one Quran and one creed, and as long as they remained united, the enemy could not be successful in its designs.

The Bahria Town mosque is the seventh largest in the world and the largest in Pakistan. It accommodates at least 70,000 people.
