Quran reading booths in Iran

RNA - The correct reading of Surah Fatiha and short Surahs of the Holy Quran are taught in these booths, according to Iran's Quran News Agency.

Sheikh Hassan Al-Mansouri, head of the Dar-ol-Quran (House of Quran) Center said that in one of the booths on the way from Nasiriyah city to Karbala, a number of Quran teachers are implementing the “One Thousand Quran Memorizers” Plan for the pilgrims.

He added that besides the temporary booths, there are more permanent stations based in the holy city of Karbala and inside the holy shrine welcoming the pilgrims who are willing to correct their mistakes in reading the verses of the Holy Quran.

Every year, millions of Shia Muslims from all over the world march to the holy city of Karbala to commemorate Arba’een (the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), his household and his companions on Ashura).
