RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi discussed his trip to the southwestern city of Shiraz, his hometown. He discussed the advancements by the people of the province of Fars in various fields, particularly in the fields of science and knowledge, medicine and healthcare.
In a meeting and dialogue with professors and university presidents, His Eminence stated that we are lucky that we have very good reports of successes in the province but this is what we expected.
In regards to the future of the Islamic Seminary of the province of Fars, Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi stated: “We are lucky that in the province of Fars, we have many seminaries and Islamic schools which have been established. This will provide a bright future for the province.”
Referring to his establishment of an Islamic school in Fars province, His Eminence stated that soon another seminary will also be established. This seminary will be a specialized seminary and will contain a section where teachers will be train to properly provide answers to university students’ religious questions.
Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi has concluded a four-day trip to the province where he has held meetings with various religious and political leaders and various groups of people, including clergymen and seminarians. He also presided over the inauguration ceremony of the Fatemeh Zahra Quran Hall and Complex while in Shiraz.
During his meetings, the renowned source of emulation discussed the important issue of enjoining the good and forbidding the wrong and the recent acid attack case in Esfahan, describing it as an “plot by the conspiring enemy” against the Islamic Republic of Iran. He stated that he hopes that this concern will be clarified soon.
