RNA – In a ceremony at al-Mustafa International University’s Imam Khomeini Specialized University marking the beginning of the new academic year, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi, the president of al-Mustafa International University, congratulated and thanked the students and staff of the university on the beginning of the new school year.
He referred to remarks made by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) where he said that the collapse of Western civilization is near, saying: “Today the world stands in front of a critical juncture, and the Islamic nation is witnessing the line of Islamic Revolution as it faces exceptional circumstances.”
“We must participate in the building the future of the world through the dissemination of knowledge, wisdom,, rationality and strategic vision and proper presence in the cultural, political, social and scientific communities,” His Eminence added.
Ayatollah Arafi pointed to the intrigues and wars waged by the global arrogance on the Islamic world, stressing that their aim is to extinguish the torch of Islamic civilization and extinguish the Islamic Awakening and the Islamic Revolution. “We must not adopt the colonial policies of the West in dealing with the seditionist ISIL and other Takfiri terrorist groups, but we must be vigilant and expose their malignant goals,” he said.
He stressed that the Takfiri terrorist groups are creations of the West, and especially the United States, adding that ISIL claims that it is organizing jihad on the path of Islam, and that the Takfiris have chosen the wrong method of fighting jihad and have instead practiced terrorism. “There is no doubt that Hezbollah and Hamas are the real holy warriors,” Ayatollah Arafi said.
“The greatest calamity afflicting the Islamic world is that the enemies try to twist the meanings of the concept of jihad in Islam. True jihad benefits and revives Islamic civilization. But the false jihad of the Takfiris serves the arrogant nations,” he stressed.
He stressed that the policy of the Islamic Seminary is based on an analysis of the enemy and it tries to maintain unity and to take advantage of rationality and wisdom, explaining: “The aim of the al-Mustafa International University is to explain Islamic teachings and divine knowledge and emphasizes the rationality and response to all suspicions raised about Islam.”
