President of Tunisia’s Manouba University:
Rasa – The president of Tunisia’s Manouba University has stated that scientific progress was achieved by Iran despite sanctions on them, and this progress has occurred thanks to the attention and full support of Iranian officials to science and knowledge.

RNA (Tunisia) – In a meeting with Sadeq Ramazani-Golafzani, the Iranian cultural advisor to Tunisia, Shukri al-Mabkhout, the president of Tunisia’s Manouba University, stated that the Islamic seminaries in Iran are ideal models of scientific establishments and are symbols of Islamic unity.

 

The two sides met discussed bilateral cooperation in the scientific and academic affairs. al-Mabkhout explained that Manouba University has 14 scientific institutions active in various disciplines, including literature, fine arts, and archives, and the media, and business, economics, and other branches. He stated that Manouba University has signed 28 memorandums of understanding for cooperation in the fields of scientific research and is currently preparing to sign a comprehensive memorandum of academic understanding with Iranian universities.

 

al-Mabkhout pointed to the scientific progress achieved by the Islamic Republic of Iran after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, saying: “All this scientific progress may be achieved by Iran despite harsh sanctions on their country. This progress has occurred thanks to the attention of Iranian officials to science and knowledge and their full support for universities, and professors and students.”

 

He pointed out that the curriculum in seminaries in Iran is based on the most advanced and modern frameworks existing in the most prestigious universities and institutions of the world.

 

For his part, Ramazani-Golafzani said that in Tunisia that all the progress made by Iran in various fields is due to its close following of the Holy Quran, the traditions and lifestyle of the Prophet Muhammad (S) and his Infallible Family, the Ahlul-Bayt (A). “Every effort we do to reach the greatest scientific centres in the world is made with the intention to serve humanity, especially the Muslims. Certainly scientific cooperation with Islamic countries, including Tunisia, is an effort to accelerate their access to the heights of science and knowledge,” he explained.
