Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i said that the recent protests in the country are a good ‎opportunity for the Iraqi authorities to fulfill the people’s demands.‎

Ayatollah Seddiqi hailed the massive turnout at nationwide rallies of November 4, when ‎Iranians mark the anniversary of the former US embassy takeover, and said that public ‎support for the rally meant a big no to any new talks with Washington.‎

Ayatollah Sa’idi ‎referred to the emphasis of the Ahl al-Bayt on unity among Muslims and ‎said, “The culture of unity between Sunnis and Shi’ahs must be transformed into a ‎common culture.” ‎

Bahrain's main opposition group, the al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, has strongly condemned the life sentence handed down to prominent Bahraini Shia cleric and opposition leader, Sheikh Ali Salman, stating that the ruling clearly shows that the kingdom’s judiciary is corrupt, politicized and excessively dependent.

Ayatollah Sa’idi stated that any path which ends with the United States is a dead end ‎and insisted that officials must not make calculated mistakes and suggest a referendum ‎out of fear and illusion.‎

Ayatollah al-Sistani has urged the end of bloodshed in ‎the Arab country, warning of a civil war and chaos after dozens of deaths during the recent ‎wave of protest rallies across Iraq.‎

Ayatollah Movahedi-Kermani has expressed support for reforms in Iraq and Lebanon amid ‎popular protests in the two countries, but warned of hostile elements seeking to destabilize ‎the countries.‎

Referring to the enemies’ attempts to weaken religious belief in society, Ayatollah Reza ‎Ostadi said, “there is heavy propaganda against Shi’ism and the Shi’ah clergy and they are ‎being vilified to diminish their popularity and isolate them.” ‎
