Hujjat al-Islam Rizvi expressed his satisfaction with Ayatollah Arafi’s letter to Indian religious ‎scholars and leaders, saying that the letter thwarted the Islamophobia project in India.‎

RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Ruhe-Zafar Rizvi, the Friday prayer leader of Mumbai, India, ‎welcomed the letter of Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran, to ‎Indian religious scholars and leaders and described it as a factor in thwarting the ‎Islamophobia project n India.‎

The text of Hujjat al-Islam Rizvi’s letter is as follows:‎

In His Name, the Most High‎

Ayatollah Arafi,‎
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran

as-Salamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh [May the peace, mercy and ‎blessings of God be upon you]‎

Your Excellency’s letter is hopeful and facilitating at this critical juncture, wherein the ‎tribulation of the Coronavirus has plagued all of India and the country is in general quarantine ‎and businesses, offices, schools and transportation have been completely suspended. Also, ‎extremist, fanatical and opportunistic Hindus are also poisoning the country’s secure ‎environment. The internet and social media platforms are full of hateful, provocative, and ‎Islamophobic rhetoric and they are spreading rumours against Muslims and Muslims are ‎being blamed for the exacerbation of the Coronavirus in India.‎

As a small soldier in the seminary and of great position of wilayah (guardianship), I will ‎implement each of your stipulations and the provisions of your letter to the best of my ‎ability. May God grant success to all of us and May God grant you a long life.‎

Thank you very much.

Peace be upon you,‎
Sayyed Ruhe-Zafar Rizvi,‎
Friday prayer leader and congregational prayer leader of the Khoja Shi’ah Ithna-Ashari ‎Mosque,‎
Mumbai, India
