Iran’s Judiciary Chief Seyed Ebrahim Rayeesi underscored the necessity for the materialization of the goals pursued by the motto of the new Iranian year, “surge in production”, highlighted by the Leader in his message on the occasion of Nowruz.

RNA - Addressing the first meeting of senior Iranian judiciary officials in the new year (started on March 20) on Tuesday, Rayeesi asked all organizations and departments to make their utmost efforts to realize objectives of the “surge in production” motto precisely.

According to Fars News Agency, he then pointed to the outbreak of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, in the country, and said, “On the first days when the virus spread in the country, access to masks, hygienic gloves and disinfectants was impossible which caused dissatisfaction among people but after a while, people themselves came to the scene spontaneously and changed production line of some factories into lines to produce hygienic products in order to contain the disease.”

Wheels of production in the country should be more activated and for this reason, hurdles facing ahead of production should be removed, Rayeesi said.

In relevant remarks on Monday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had also described the naming of year 1399 as the year of 'Surge in Production' by the Supreme Leader as a good opportunity for the government, producers, private sector and everyone to make greater efforts for boosting production.

"The Supreme Leader of the Revolution wants more powerful and quicker move towards production and the way to do that is to make some infrastructural and quick work,” President Rouhani said.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei named the Iranian New Year as the year of “surge in production” to ask both the nation and the state officials to make industrious efforts to increase domestic products.
