Senior Advisor to the Iranian Parliament Speaker Hossein Amir Abdollahian, in a meeting with Yemeni Ambassador to Tehran Ibrahim Mohammad Mohammad al-Deilami, praised the Yemeni nation’s resistance against the Saudi-led aggression, adding that there would be no better way to make Riyadh-led invaders stop their hostility in the war-torn country.

RNA - “The resistance and faith of the Yemeni people have made the aggressors seek a political solution for the current quagmire they have created [in that country],” Amir-Abdollahian said on Tuesday, in a meeting with al-Deilami.

The Iranian official referred to the fiendish plots of the US and the Israel on partitioning the regional countries, and stressed that, “Tehran will always back Yemen’s territorial integrity and unity.”

Amir-Abdollahian called on the international bodies to back the trampled rights of the Yemeni people, saying, “It is imperative that the real representatives of the Yemeni nation attend the international forums and organizations to voice the real and rightful demands of their people.”

The Yemeni envoy, for his part, expressed gratitude to the Islamic Republic for its continued support to his country against the arrogant powers, saying “We will never stop our efforts till we meet the Yemeni people’s needs.”

According to Fars News Agency, last month, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani blasted Washington for supporting Saudi Arabia in its ongoing mass killing of the Yemeni people.

“Iran welcomes mediation in the issue of Yemen, but the US still thinks that the era of milking Saudi Arabia is not yet over,” Larijani said in a meeting with German Parliament Vice-President Caludia Roth on the sidelines of the 141st Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Belgrade, Serbia.

In April 2015, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif submitted a four-point peace plan for Yemen to the United Nations in an attempt to end the bloodshed in the Arab country.

"It is imperative for the international community to get more effectively involved in ending the senseless aerial attacks and establishing a ceasefire," Zarif said in the letter.

He added in the letter that Tehran is ready to cooperate with the UN “to facilitate and encourage an immediate end to these senseless bombardments and initiation of a genuine dialogue to find a political solution to this tragic crisis”.
