The representative of Ayatollah Sistani stressed reviving the private sector in Iraq and called for surmounting the obstacles.

According to the correspondent of Rasa News Agency in the holy city of Najaf, the representative of Ahatollah Sistani and the custodian of Imam Hussain (AS) holy shrine, Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Abd al-Mahdi Karbalaei, delivering this week’s Friday prayer sermons in Imam Hussain (AS) holy shrine, pointing to recent protests held by Iraqi universities’ graduates, said, “Related governmental organisations are supposed to tackle graduates’ unemployment.”

He called for attention to the private sector and explicated, “Economists have repeatedly emphasized upon the private sector and reopening of the closed plants. Problems should be resolved through determination and collaborative endeavours.”

Finally, the representative of Ayatollah Sistani said, “The current rate of corruption isn’t acceptable. Reviving the private sector doesn’t mean that the public sector should be ignored, but, nonetheless, the related organisations are supposed to sort out appropriate priorities having no eye on their personal and factional interests.”
