Lahore Friday Prayer Leader:‎
Hujjat al-Islam ‎Naqvi ‎said that Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist ‎attacks, was arrested in order to please President Trump before Pakistani Prime Minister ‎Imran Khan’s visit to the White House this week. ‎

RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in ‎‎the‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎Pakistani city of Lahore, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Jawad ‎Naqvi ‎referred to a documentary ‎called “Bahrain: Shouting in the Dark” that Al Jazeera has produced and said, “In this ‎documentary, they presented proofs that the Bahraini regime has relations with al-Qaedah so ‎that they can oppress their own people. There is a Shi’ah majority among the 800,000 ‎people in Bahrain and in order to force them to surrender, Bahrain accepted the support of ‎Al Qaeda. Qatar is the host of al-Qaedah. ‎

‎“The most treacherous countries in the region are Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi ‎Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain. Oman stays away from them and Kuwait supports at times,” he ‎said. ‎

The principal of Jami’at Urwat ‎‎al-Wuthqa Islamic ‎Seminary in Lahore ‎added‎, “These five ‎countries supported terrorism and but have been defeated. Now that Qatar has differences ‎with them, they have accused that they are supporters of terrorism and Qatar now has given ‎this evidence against Bahrain.” ‎

He noted that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, will visit the White House over the ‎next few days and added that on July 17th, Pakistani authorities arrested Hafiz Saeed, the ‎founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist group and the mastermind of the 2008 attacks ‎on Mumbai. More than 160 people were killed in the four-day militant attacks. Trump ‎welcomed Saeed’s arrest and said it was the result of pressure from his administration on ‎Pakistan to get tougher on militants.‎

‎“For a long time, there has been pressure from India to hand over Saeed to India. Similarly, ‎the United States also supported India, saying that LeT must be banned and there were ‎rewards to arrest him,” he stressed. ‎

Hujjat al-Islam ‎Naqvi ‎added, “Now, at the time of Prime Minister Khan’s visit to the United ‎States, Saeed has been arrested, and Trump has tweeted that he was responsible. The ‎manner in which India has accused him is that he has been involved in many operations and ‎that Pakistan, as a responsible entity, must fulfill all international requirements and try him. ‎In the past, Pakistan has handed over many individuals to the United States. If a criminal has ‎perpetrated any crime in Pakistan, he must be tried.”‎

His Eminence ‎continued, “Although you have caught someone who is a criminal, arresting ‎someone on the command of the United States isn’t correct. We all have differences with ‎Hafiz Saeed but it’s not appropriate for Pakistan that the President of the United States tells ‎us to arrest him and hand him over as a gift to the United States. This won’t give any ‎respect to Pakistan. You could have arrested him six months ago, run a case and punish ‎him. It’s very important for Trump that you’re doing all this.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam ‎Naqvi noted the visit to Iran by the former Romanian president and dictator, ‎Nicolae Ceaușescu in 1990 and said that his three-day visit to Iran while his troops ‎massacred dissidents at home contributed to the foment that eventually overthrew him and ‎afterward, Iranian President Ali-Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani was embarrassed by helping ‎Ceausescu and his regime. ‎

In this regard, he said that Prime Minister Khan must first analyze the present situation facing ‎Trump. In 2020, an election is going to take place and Trump has a weak position. Narendra ‎Modi, the Prime Minister of India, gambled with the situation in Pulwama and won the ‎elections in India. Trump is adopting the same method as Modi did in to launch a war against ‎Iran. ‎

He ‎added, “Today, Trump tweeted that we downed an unmanned drone belonging to Iran ‎and Iran replied that it was your own drone that you shot down. He wants compensation for ‎the disgrace of having a $222 million dollar drone shot down by Iran on June 20th.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam ‎Naqvi ‎said that the House of Representatives has passed legislation which ‎limits Trump’s ability to strike Iran without the consent of Congress. In this entire tenure, his ‎greatest success was his weapons deal with Saudi Arabia. Trump states that this brought ‎wealth to the United States. The House gave passed a series of measures that would block ‎the sale of billions of dollars of arms to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates because ‎they are used to kill innocent people in Yemen. They are trying to impeach Trump very soon ‎as he’s involved in many scandals also related to sexual affairs, Russia and others. We must ‎be careful and open our eyes in in regard to the order by such a person to arrest someone ‎in Pakistan. We must do everything based on our national interest and not on the ‎instructions of Trump.”‎
