Rasa – Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani said, “Without doubt it’s us, the seminarians who fail in the ‎duties which we must perform because Islam has truth itself and can attract people all by ‎itself.”‎

RNA – Speaking to a group of students at Qom’s al-Murtadha University, Grand Ayatollah ‎Mohammad-Ali Alavi-Gorgani reiterated the necessity of correct religious propagation across ‎the world and said, “What matters the most is that we must promote Islam with kind ‎words.”‎

The revered source of emulation described Islam as “a discursive and rational religion” ‎adding, “We never seek to impose religion to anyone by force but if we know the correct ‎way of conveying the concept of religion, we will gain results.”‎

‎“Without doubt it’s us, the seminarians, who fail in the duties which we must perform ‎because Islam itself has truth and can attract people all by itself,” he noted.‎

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani described the current power of Shi’ism and the Islamic Seminaries as ‎‎“unparalleled” and added, “One of the seminarians was telling me that when he went to ‎Africa on a mission and many Wahhabis initially prevented him from undertaking his duties ‎but later, when they saw his logic, they couldn’t do anything against him.”‎

The renowned teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom stated, “The clergy are no longer the ‎weak and lower class in society and must not be afraid of the enemies and problems made ‎by atheists. They must keep in mind that according to a narration from Holy Prophet ‎Muhammad ‘Islam is always superior to other schools and nations,’ if you make steps in the ‎right path of promoting religion, you’ll surely be successful.”‎

Referring to the verse of the Holy Quran, “Hold on with power to what We have given you ‎and remember that which is in it so that you may be Godwary’ [2:63], he said, “The Quran ‎says: ‘Take the truths of religion with power and explain for the people that which they will ‎surely accept. Today the world has understood that Islam is a complete and satisfactory ‎religion to God and for this reason, missionaries, especially those seminarians who are ‎familiar with foreign languages, must be able to take steps in this direction.”‎

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani said, “Undoubtedly, the day will come when the world will be under ‎the grip of power of Islam and Muslims, so we must not underestimate religious propagation ‎and take it seriously.”‎

Referring to the necessity of using missionaries who are articulate and eloquent to promote ‎Islam abroad, His Eminence said, “Not all seminarians have the power of speech and ‎expression and this is not a problem for them and they can serve in other arenas.”‎
