Ayatollah Tavakkol said, “In the holy month of Ramadhan, it’s necessary for those who are ‎financially able to help the needy as much as possible according to shari’ah (Islamic law), ‎intellect and custom.”‎

RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Sayyed Rahim Tavakkol, ‎the representative of the people of Mazandaran in the Assembly of Experts, referred to a ‎narration from one of the Infallible Imams in which the rewards of the recommended ‎circumambulation of the Ka’bah in Makkah were discussed and some of those present were ‎upset that they didn’t have the ability to travel to Makkah and would be deprived of these ‎blessings. ‎

‎“The Imam replied that if a person meets the needs of a believer, seeks to assist him and ‎helps solves his needs, God will reward him and erase his sin,” the Iranian cleric noted. ‎

He emphasized that this narration is clear that if a person is financially able, it’s necessary ‎that he must look after the needy in society, who are often too shy due to honour and don’t ‎turn to anyone for help. Therefore, it’s good for people to respect such people because ‎there is a goodness from God to meet the needs of the needy.”‎

Ayatollah Tavakkol added, “In the holy month of Ramadhan, it’s necessary for those who ‎are financially able to help the needy as much as possible according to shari’ah (Islamic ‎law), intellect and custom.”‎

Referring to the presence of people in various arenas, His Eminence said, “The Iranian ‎people have shown that they come to the scene at the time of crisis and that they are ‎working together. They came to the field as much as they could. The doctors and nurses ‎shone really well in the fight against the Coronavirus and came to the fore as much as they ‎could.” ‎

Ayatollah Tavakkol stated that compassion for each other leads to divine sanctity and ‎added, “When we have mercy on each other, God has mercy on us. Compassion for each ‎other leads to love and removes grudges from the heart and reveals God’s mercy and ‎removes calamities. After worshipping Him, God wants human beings to sympathize with ‎each other and to solve each other’s problems.”‎
