Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi:
The revered source of emulation offered his appreciation to the medical staff and jihadi groups who are fighting against the Coronavirus and called on the people to raise their hands in prayer in their homes on the night of the 15th of Sha’ban.

RNA – Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi offered advice to the people of the country in a speech on the upcoming celebration of the 15th of Sha’ban, which marks the birth anniversary of the twelfth Shi’ah Imam, Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi. This year, the 15th of Sha’ban falls on April 9th.

At the beginning of his speech, the source of emulation congratulated the people on the blessed days of the birth of Wali al-Asr (the Guardian of the Era) and said, “On the night of the 15th of Sha’ban, all people should raise their hands in prayer in their homes and swear to God, the Imam and his pure ancestors and ask them to heal the sick and end this tribulation and epidemic as soon as possible and ask from him and be certain that these supplications are close to the goal of fulfillment.”

While advising the public to follow the health recommendations once again, Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi offered his appreciation for the efforts of the medical staff, doctors and nurses in dealing with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and save the patients and said, “The best way to thank the medical staff is to follow their advice. Our dear people, as they have followed the advice of the health officials and the medical staff will follow this advice and don’t leave your homes unless absolutely necessary.”

He also praised the sincere efforts of jihadi groups of young seminarians, clerics, students and Basijis to work with medical staff.

It’s worth mentioning that Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi also presented gifts to the jihadi groups fighting against the Coronavirus, as well as the families who lost their loved ones to this disease.
