RNA – Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the director of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran, issued a condolence message to Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Maddah, a jihadi cleric who serves patients suffering from COVID-19 (Coronavirus) at a hospital in Qom and lost his wife who was pregnant with twins and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit (ICU) at the same hospital that he volunteered at.

The message text is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Indeed, we belong to God and to Him do we indeed return” [The Holy Quran 2:156]

Dear Hujjat al-Islam Shaykh Mohammad Maddah (may His grace be lasting)

Peace be to you, for your patience” [The Holy Quran 13:24]

Truly, words cannot portray the magnificent faith, sincerity and dedication of you and the dear jihadi seminarians given the spread of the Coronavirus. You and the seminarians who humbly, extraordinarily and courageously created exemplary scenes alongside the nurses and doctors. Of course, Your Excellency, you have conquered peaks in dedication and struggle and God-willing, you will be protected and rewarded by God Almighty.

I extend my heartfelt condolences over the tribulations that have brought grief to the Islamic Seminaries, Iran and the world and I pray to God, the Munificent, to grant the highest degree to this late and blessed lady and health, patience and the good reward of God to Your Eminence and all survivors.

I pray for the reward of the patient and the warriors on the path of truth for you.
