Two Iranian border guards were killed in a terrorist attack on a border post in Jakigor in Southeastern Iran.

RNA - "Some terrorists were advancing towards the border post to cross into the country for sabotage operation on the election day,” Iranian Border Guards Command Headquarters announced.

It added that the Iranian border guards immediately confronted the terrorists and forced them to escape the scene.

Meantime, the border guards commander, leading a delegation, has arrived at the border area to investigate the terrorist attack.

According to Fars News Agency, in relevant remarks on Tuesday, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Ground Force Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour slammed state-sponsored terrorism against his nation, saying that a reactionary regional country has sent at least 3 planeloads of weapons and military equipment to the terrorists in Southeastern Iran.

"One of the reactionary countries in the region has so far dispatched 3 planes loaded with military equipment and weapons cargos to the terrorists in Southeastern Iran," General Pakpour said in Tehran.

"The Jeish al-Zolm (the Army of Oppression) - a branding used by Iran to refer to Jeish al-Adl (the Army of Justice) terrorists - Komla and democrat (Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan) terrorists enjoy modern equipment and this shows that they enjoy all-out support by the US, Saudi Arabia and their allies," he added.

General Pakpour, meantime, said that despite all supports rendered to the terrorists, the IRGC Ground Forces are standing against them with all their power and have established an acceptable level of security at the country's borders in the North-West, West and South-East, which at times were restive regions.
