Palestinians have been subject to systematic aggression and violation of their rights at the hands of Israelis since the establishment of Israeli regime in 1948. The situation worsened during 2019.

RNA - 55-hundred Palestinians were detained across the occupied territories including 889 children and 128 women, according to Palestinian prisoner’s advocacy groups. Meanwhile, five Palestinian detainees died in Israeli jails due to lack of proper medical treatment and deliberate medical negligence.

In addition to the five Palestinian prisoners killed in Israeli jails, 35 other Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank including women and minors. Human rights groups have accused Israeli forces of carrying out cold-blooded killings on mere suspicions.

Palestinians say Israel’s continued heavy-handed crackdown is carried out under various pretexts and are meant in the first place to deepen Israel’s hold on the majority of the West Bank, and to keep reminding people they are living under occupation vanishing any hopes of independence in the future.

Overall, 2019 has been one of the worst years for Palestinians; however, recent data and evidence suggest that they should brace themselves for even worse as experts believe the next Israeli cabinet will be a more racist one.
