The office of Ayatollah Yaqubi holds 82 short-term religious courses for students in the summer.

According to the correspondent of Rasa News Agency in the holy city of Najaf, the office of Ayatollah Yaqubi, an Iraqi scholar, runs 82 short-term religious courses, taught by seminary students for more than 6200 students with different age range, from grade schools to high school.”

These summer courses are going cover jurisprudence, ethics, religious rules and instructions, Quran reciting and beliefs.

About the courses, the chairman of Ayatollah Yaqubi’s office, Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Majid al-Oboodi, said, “In the last Christian year, the number of students who attended the courses was 1200, and fortunately, it has risen to 6220 people this year.”

Finally, he added, “These courses were offered firstly in 2003, and since then, they have been presented each year with the spiritual and financial support of this scholar.”
