President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah movement announced plans for protests throughout the West Bank against the upcoming US-sponsored Bahrain economic meeting.

RNA - While there is no central event planned, the various Palestinian cities are expected to hold rallies and protests expressing the general public’s opposition to the Bahrain meeting, which Palestinians look at as part of a US-led conspiracy against Palestinian struggle for freedom and independence from Israel, WAFA reported.

In Ramallah, seat of the Palestinian Authority, a rally is planned at noon on Monday at Manara Square in the center of the town, while “days of escalation against the occupation” are planned for Tuesday and Wednesday, when the Bahrain meeting is expected to be in session.

Rallies and protests at contact points with Israelis are planned for most of the other cities during these three days.
