Rouhani:
President Hassan blasted the US for continuing its economic terrorism against Iran, and said that the Iranian nation will surely overcome the unilateral sanctions imposed by Washington against the Islamic Republic.

RNA - "Iran will surely push back the enemy until final victory even under difficult conditions," the Iranian president said addressing a gathering of athletes and national champions in Tehran on Saturday night.

President Rouhani reiterated that the Iranian nation will emerge victorious in the economic war Washington has waged against the Islamic Republic.

The Iranian president blasted the enemies' sanctions imposed against the Iranian nation, and said that the Iranians have experience of defeating the enemies when it comes to sanctions.

"The enemies in their vain delusion wished to make Iranian people give in, but despite hardships they resisted bravely against the enemies’ cries,” he added .

"We have demonstrated that we will stand against the bullying powers and we favor logic and negotiation," President Rouhani stressed.

According to Fars News Agancy, in relevant remarks on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined that his country does not see any difference between the Trump administration and its predecessors as none complied with their undertakings in the internationally-endorsed agreement made after years of talks.

"Talks will be meaningful when the other side remains committed to its undertakings, as we talked with the US for months (to strike the nuclear deal). In our view, this US administration is no different from the former and next administrations at all. Some people think that we have problem with Mr. Trump. It is not true. As I said, we negotiated with the (former) US administration but they did not comply with their undertakings," Zarif told the Arabic-language al-Alam news website.

He added that both the Obama and Trump administrations failed to abide by the agreement and Trump eventually discarded the nuclear deal, noting that the nuclear deal is a 150-page agreement and the US will never attain an agreement better than the nuclear deal with Iran.

Zarif also voiced regret that the US administration is following the policies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
