The Damascus Army has opened heavy fire at Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorists in the demilitarized zone over the past 24 hours, preempting their offensive in Northern Hama.

RNA - The army's artillery units, deployed near the town of Tal Bazam in Northern Hama, pounded the movements of Tahrir al-Sham and its allies in the demilitarized zone in the town of Morek and managed to preempt their offensive.

The terrorists sustained heavy casualties and their military hardware were destroyed in the artillery attack.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama

The Syrian Army opened heavy fire at Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at terrorists in the demilitarized zone on Sunday, preempting their offensive in Northern Hama.

The army's artillery units, deployed near the town of Tal Bazam in Northern Hama, pounded the movements of Tahrir al-Sham and its allies in the demilitarized zone in the town of Morek and managed to preempt their offensive.

Tahrir al-Sham and its allied terrorists suffered heavy casualties and their military hardware sustained major damage in the artillery attack.

In the meantime, the artillery attack spread to other positions of the terrorists in al-Zakat, Ma'arkabah, al-Latamina and Kafr Zita in Northern Hama as well.

Other artillery units, meanwhile, shelled terrorists' strongholds near the small town of al-Sarmaniyah in Western al-Ghaab Plain, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The terrorists' refusal to implement the Sochi Agreement to establish a demilitarized zone is pushing the army to initiate its long-waited assault on militants in Idlib that had been put on hold due to the Sochi Agreement.

Aleppo        

A senior officer from the Syrian Army’s 4th Armored Division informed said that the forces were heading to the town of Manbij in Northeastern Aleppo.

According to the 4th Division officer, they received orders to redeploy to Manbij from several parts of the country, including Hama and Lattakia provinces, massdar news reported.

The 4th Armored Division will join the 1st Armored Division, Republican Guard, and some units of the Tiger Forces at the Western and Northwestern outskirts of Manbij.

Meantime, the predominately-Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) surrendered control of the strategic Tishrin Dam in Northern Syria to the Damascus troops a day after it retreated from the key town of Manbij to be replaced by the Syrian army.

The Arabic-language website of Sputnik reported that the army took control of the Tishrin Dam in Eastern Aleppo after the SDF forces withdrew from the region.

It further pointed to the deployment of army men at the dam and its nearby regions, and said the Damascus forces came in control over Tishrin as part of the Manbij agreement with the SDF.

The dam is 33 km South of the town of Mabij, 115 km East of Aleppo city and 80 km away from the border with Turkey.

The Dam, which was seized by the terrorists in 2015, is the main source of power generation in Aleppo province.

Sweida

The Syrian Army troops stormed an ISIL sleeper cell in the Eastern desert of Sweida, killing several terrorists and destroying their hideout.

According to a military communique in the area, the Syrian Arab Army stormed a cave used by the ISIL sleeper cell to store weapons and other supplies in Toloul al-Safa region in the Eastern desert of Sweida, massdar news reported.

The communique added that the army managed to hunt down all three terrorists that were hiding inside the cave, while also confiscating all of their equipment.

Eastern Euphrates

The Turkish Army on Sunday sent another convoy of soldiers and military hardware to the border with Syria in what has claimed to be a preparations for a major assault on the Kurdish militias on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

According to Fars News Agancy, the army dispatched a long convoy of military vehicles, carrying more troops and equipment, to Kilis region at the country's border with Northern Syria.

The convoy included several personnel carrier vehicles and trucks with arms, equipment and cannons.

The dispatched units and their equipment were deployed in al-Bili region at border with Syria.

The Turkish army's reinforcements and dispatch of a large number of forces and a large volume of equipment to the border with Syria in recent weeks testifies Ankara's plan to kick off a major operation against the Kurdish population on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River.
