Rasa – While visiting the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn, a member of the Council of Scholars of Muhammadan Relations stated that this holy shrine is the vanguard of solidarity and peace in Iraq.
RNA – Shaykh Bilal al-Abdali al-Hasani, a member of the Council of Scholars of Muhammadan Relations, visited the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn in Karbala, Iraq.
The Council of Scholars of Muhammadan Relations is a popular Islamic organization based in Baghdad, Iraq, which advocates Islam and explains its principles and teachings. It was founded in 2004.
In a meeting with members of the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn, Shaykh al-Hasani said, “The Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn is widely involved in various activities and programs on the development of a peaceful life and peace among the Iraqi people.”
The Iraqi Sunni cleric continued, “Establishing a ‘pilgrim town’ for the refugees of war and those who escaped from the clutches of the Daesh Takfiri terrorist movement is one of the most important tasks of the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn in promoting peace and solidarity among the various classes of the Iraqi people.”
He continued, “With the establishment of a ‘pilgrim town,’ the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn has registered a beautiful and brilliant image of itself in the minds of the people of the world and has announced that the Iraqi people are like a single body and there is no difference between denominations and religions in the carrying out of their duties.”
Referring to the “obligatory jihad” fatwa issued by the revered source of emulation, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, to fight against the Daesh terrorist movement, Shaykh al-Hasani said, “This fatwa saved the lives of the Iraqi people and won them remarkable victories.”
In June 2014, Ayatollah al-Sistani called on all Iraqi citizens to defend “the country, its people, the honour of its citizens, and its sacred sites against the threats posed by the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group.”
The member of the Council of Scholars of Muhammadan Relations also visited the holy shrine’s “Dar al-Quran al-Karim” during their last Quranic program.
It must be noted that the Iraqi refugees who had fled from their houses to escape from the criminal acts of the Daesh terrorists were resettled in the pilgrim towns after their arrival in the holy city of Karbala. This town is affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn.
The officials of this town have provided the livelihood necessities and accommodation for displaced Iraqis.
These displaced people who entered Karbala from the Daesh infested areas of northern and western Iraq and gradually returned to their towns and cities after the destruction of the Daesh terrorist phenomenon.
