RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi celebrated the anniversary of Day of Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity, which is marked on August 5, and referred to the United States’ black record on human rights, including its atomic bombings against the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, saying, “Although this changed the fate of World War II, it left a stain on the United States that will remain throughout history. More than 200,000 people were killed in one second by the nuclear attack and millions more were displaced and wounded.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran said, “It is very strange that the users of nuclear weapons and the supporters of the use of chemical weapons today are false claimants of peace and the removal of nuclear weapons. On their disgraceful record, dozens of very ugly black blemishes have been recorded but again if they claim if they are right, they must put aside their nuclear weapons but they’re lying and their stained and heavy record is fraught with crimes and human rights violations.”
He stated that Americans are afraid of the call of “Down with America” and said, “Sometimes they say the call of ‘Death to America’ has been silenced but this loud call resonates in Iran and around the world. This is the call of the Iranian nation against the politicians and rulers of the United States and it will remain as long as they don’t have reason.”
Ayatollah Arafi referred to the sensitive situation and the existence of economic problems in Iran saying, “Today, nearing the fortieth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, the enemies of Islam and the Revolution take gestures, strengthen their power and declare new sanctions and conspiracies which arise from their wrath and anger from the authority and survival of the Islamic Revolution.”
The member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution said that observing the authority of the Islamic Revolution angers the enemies and said, “The enemies are breaking and violating these promises and bullying us. The main target of the enemies of the people is their immovable will, their believing hearts and their hope.”
He added, “The enemies have launched a severe psychological and economic war to overpower the nation and take away our belief, hope, unity and solidarity. The imposition of pressures and sanctions to ruin the economy, disrupt the security and create chaos in Iran which is symbol of security and independence in the world are among the most serious plans of the enemies.”
Ayatollah Arafi noted that active engagement with foreign neighbours and Eastern countries in trade and economic activities, the fight against smuggling and the emphasis on domestic commodities, control of the foreign exchange market and inflation and the fight against corruption are among the responsibilities of the authorities and added, “We thank you for your actions taken in the fight against corruption but they aren’t enough, decisively fighting corruption and planning can remove corruption from the financial system and remove embezzlement and excess.”
The dean of al-Mustafa International University added, “There is no need to fantasize that by negotiating with the traitors, the lying traitors will negotiate because they don’t understand the primary conditions for humane negotiations. These tyrants oppressed the people of Bahrain, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon and the Muslim world and they lie and due to divine grace, we will pass through these crises and resist the enemies with all our being.”
Referring to the upcoming of Hajj pilgrimage, His Eminence stated, “On the eve of the of Hajj pilgrimage, we wish for happiness and success for all the pilgrims and God willing, the pilgrims must comply with all the Islamic criteria and the manners and secrets of the Hajj and comply with these important commandments as the representatives of the Islamic Revolution.”
