Syria in Last 24 Hours:
Rasa - The Syrian army forces continued military operations in Eastern Aleppo and earned control over another strategic region near Kuweires airbase.
Syria

RNA - The Syrian army units stormed the ISIL's defense lines in a region located between Kuweires airbase and the town of Deir Hafer, winning back two more towns after several hours of clashes.

 

The Syrian army also inflicted heavy losses on the terrorist groups in other key regions across Syria.

 

Aleppo

 

The Syrian Army troops continued their advances against the ISIL terrorists in a region between Kuweires airbase and Deir Hafer town and managed to take control of two more key towns in the region.

 

The army soldiers, backed up by the country's fighter jets, launched their attack on ISIL's defense lines from the town of Rasm al-Kabir towards Northeast of Kuweires airbase and pushed the terrorists back form the town of Tayara Mazi (al-Ma'azah).

 

The army men continued their anti-ISIL attack and captured the town of Rasm al-Harmal al-Imam, after inflicting major losses on terrorists.

 

According to reports from Eastern Aleppo, the army aircraft targeted ISIL's gatherings and movements in regions near al-Ma'azah and Rasm al-Harmal al-Imam to back ground forces in the battlefield.  

 

Meantime, the Syrian army troops continued their advances against Al-Nusra Front (recently renamed to Fatah al-Sham Front) in the Western countryside of Aleppo city, taking back a strategic region after inflicting a large number of casualties on the terrorists.

 

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra Front and managed to take back Souq al-Jabas strategic region West of Dhahiya al-Assad district, pushing terrorists far away from the city's Western countryside.

 

Al-Nusra suffered heavy casualties and its military equipment sustained major damage in the pro-government forces' advances.

 

In the meantime, the army's artillery and missile units targeted terrorists' concentration centers and movements in al-Rashedeen 4 and 5 and also in Souq al-Jabas region in the Southwestern countryside of Aleppo city.

 

Deir Ezzur              

 

The Syrian Army troops continued to advance against ISIL terrorists in the Southern outskirts of Deir Ezzur city and managed to take back another strategic hill with the back up of the country's fighter jets.

 

The army's special forces engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL in al-Maqaber (cemetery) and Jonayd division in the Southern outskirts of Deir Ezzur city and could take control of the key hill of Aloush in the Southern part of the cemetery, killing and wounding a number of terrorists.

 

Local sources said that simultaneous with the ground forces' advances, the army aircraft bombed heavily ISIL's movements and positions in Tamin brigade, cemetery and al-Makbat in the Southern outskirt of Deir Ezzur, in al-Ba'ath bridge in the Northern outskirt of the city and near Tal (hill) Barouk in the Southwestern countryside of Deir Ezzur, inflicting major casualties on terrorists.

 

The warplane also pounded ISIL's concentration centers in the neighborhoods of al-Jabileh and al-Mowazafin, killing and wounding a large number of terrorists.

 

A military source underlined that the army is resolved to liberate the entire cemetery region to restore security to a road that connects the city to ISIL-besieged airbase.  

 

Idlib-Hama

 

Syrian Army troops and aircraft targeted heavily the positions and movements of Al-Nusra Front in Southern Idlib and Northern Hama, destroying terrorists' positions and arms depots.

 

The Syrian fighter jets pounded Al-Nusra Front's positions in Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib, destroying two large warehouses full of arms, ammunition and bomb-laden vehicles.

 

Meanwhile, the army soldiers targeted the concentration centers of terrorists in the towns of Kafr Zita, al-Latamina and in the village of al-Araba'een in Northern Hama, killing a number of terrorists, including a commander of Al-Nusra Front.

 

Local sources said that the army units opened fire at Jund al-Aqsa's positions in the village of Morek in Northern Hama, leaving a number of militants dead or wounded and their base destroyed.

 

Homs

 

A military source said that the Syrian Army troops are fortifying their positions around Palmyra (Tadmur) to launch a large-scale operation to free the ancient city from ISIL terrorists after arrival of more fresh recruitments.

 

The source said that the army has fortified its positions in Badiyeh (desert) al-Qarbi of Tadmur, in al-Bayarat al-Qarbi region, al-Samamat region, the villages of Tarfeh al-Qarbi and Tarfeh al-Sharqi, the mounts of al-Tar and al-Hayal.

 

The source went on to say that the army has reinvigorated its troops with fresh soldiers, getting ready to kick off a large-scale operation to drive ISIL out of Palmyra.

 

In the meantime, the army troops have significantly advanced against ISIL in al-Maher oilfield and in the slopes of al-Hayal mountain, imposing control over al-Sawaqeh school Northwest of Tadmur.

 

Local sources reported that ISIL suffered a heavy defeat in clashes with the army men in Eastern Homs and pulled the remaining pockets of its forces towards Jazal and Jahar regions after setting fire at Hayan gas field.
