“For the first time the president that we have in the United States is an openly shameless Zionist president," Azadgan told Press TV’s Top 5 on Wednesday.
In an interview with an Israeli newspaper published on February 10, Trump emphasized that he won’t condemn Israel over the construction of settlements in the occupied lands of Palestine.
“We all know that every president had to pander to AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) before [he] would get elected, but this president (Trump) is so outrageous, so blunt and so undiplomatic with his support of the Zionist entity,” he added.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Tehran hosted a confab, dubbed the 6th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada (Uprising), to show support for the Palestinian people who are suffering from the Israeli occupation and crimes since 1948.
The international confab is “extremely important in sending a message to the current administration in Washington, who is overtly Zionist and who is not even going to dare to call itself an honest partner” for the Israeli regime.
Azadgan argued, “We need to have more events like this and concrete resolutions need to come out of this.”
He further emphasized the importance of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) as an exemplary movement for identifying companies that are “shamelessly supporting Israel... and [for] motivating the public not to buy anything from them.”
The BDS movement was initiated in 2005 by over 170 Palestinian organizations that were pushing for various forms of boycott against the Israeli regime until it stops defying international calls for halting construction of settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
