Rasa - When Iran and the P5+1 group of countries – the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China plus Germany – finally signed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Geneva on July 14, 2015, to resolve a long-running dispute over Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, there was a great deal of optimism by some observers inside and outside of Iran that the deal could help break the wall of distrust between Tehran and Washington.
