Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi said, “The difference between the Islamic Revolution and other industrial and colonial revolutions was that it took place in order to revive the Islamic values.”

RNA - The chairman of Imam Khomeini Institute of Education and Research, Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, speaking among a group of female students of Mashhad Ferdowsi University, pointed to the developments of human life in the history and stressed knowing the self, God and existence as the requirements of reaching the ultimate perfection.

Referring to the Islamic Revolution of Iran, he said, “The Islamic Revolution was a social movement, taken place in accordance with the religious principles and appropriate ideology.”

He said, “The Islamic Revolution is unique and different from all industrial, commercial and colonial revolutions, as it took place in order to revive the Islamic values.”

“During the combats and attempts prior to the victory of the revolution, all, even scholars and sources of emulation, believed that this revolution would fail, however, it successfully took place and the process of its victory and establishment ought to be scientifically studied.”
