Ayatollah Tabatabaeinejad emphasized the need to raise awareness and insight in society, saying, “Some say that if we don’t compromise with the United States, our problems won’t be resolved. This is due to a lack of awareness.” RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Esfahan, Ayatollah Sayyed Yousef Tabatabaeinejad cited some efforts to link the economic problems facing Iran with a lack of communication and compromise with the United States and said, “These people lack insight and want to make us slaves to the West. The people must know that not all of the news published by the media organizations is truthful and correct and this is why the people must try to increase their awareness and insight in order that they aren’t deceived by the enemies because we are facing shrewd and conspiring enemies.”
The deputy of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] in Esfahan province referred to the United States’ imposition of sanctions on Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad-Javad Zarif, and said, “Imam Khomeyni said ‘America can’t do a damn thing.’ This statement is still alive today and we repeat the same statement. The United States has sanctioned Mr. Zarif out of hostility and animosity in an act which contrary to international law.”
Referring to the role of piety in the popularity of man among the people, Ayatollah Tabatabaeinejad said, “The reason for the popularity of the Supreme Leader is also due to his piety. The pious and those who do things sincerely and for the pleasure of God are the focus of attention and popularity by the people.”
He expressed concern over rising divorce rates in Iran, saying, “Making the correct choice in marriage is an important issue and today we are witnessing the growth of divorce in the country due to the lack of proper and informed choice in marriage. A good wife is a companion to her husband and we need to consider the characteristics of the person we choose as a spouse. The growth of divorce causes problems and corruption in society and therefore the problem of divorce must be tackled.”
