RNA - The Israeli Air Force attacked the Syrian Army’s military positions in Dara’a and Quneitra provinces in Southern Syria in a move to help the terrorist groups stationed in the Northern parts of the country, the Arabic-language media reports said.

Dara'a, Quneitra

The Syrian Army’s Air Defense System intercepted the missiles fired by the Israeli fighter jets, the SANA news agency reported.

The Israeli air force launched an aggression on Tal al-Harra region in Dara'a Countryside in early hours of Wednesday.

Meantime, a military source said that the Syrian Army’s air defense systems also destroyed two Israeli missiles during Israeli air raids on the Northern part of the city of Khan al-Arnabeh in Northern Quneitra and in Southwestern Damascus near Syria-Lebanon-Occupied Golan.

Meantime, four Syrian soldiers were wounded when an Israeli missile hit Naba al-Sukhr region in Eastern Quneitra.

A military source also pointed to blasts in the Occupied Golan concurrent with activities of the Syrian Army’s air defense system in Northern Quneitra.

Military experts believe that the expansion of Israeli aggressions on Southern Syria and concurrent with the Syrian Army’s military operations in Northern parts of the country have likely taken place with the aim of distracting the attention of the Syrian Army from the battle with the terrorist groups.

Also, on Wednesday, Syria announced at the United Nations that it considers taking back its Israel-occupied Golan Heights through all possible legal instruments to be a priority for the Arab country.

Bashar al-Ja’afari, Damascus’ envoy to the UN made the remarks to a UN Security Council session on Tuesday, the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.

According to Fars News Agancy, Damascus would endeavor to retake the territory — which has been occupied by Tel Aviv since 1967 — “through all means, which are guaranteed by the international law,”, the news agency cited him as saying.

Tel Aviv, the official stated, keeps looting the properties of the Golan’s residents in order to expand its illegally-built settlements there.

“Israeli continued occupation of Arab lands represents the most dangerous challenge to the credibility and prestige of the international law’s rules and conventions,” the ambassador added.

He also took the Security Council to task for failing to implement the resolutions it passes against the Israeli regime’s continued occupation of Arab territories.

Some countries, he noted, take advantage of this failure to bolster the regime’s aggressive behavior, he noted, in a pointed reference to the United States.

Idlib

Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorists have orchestrated the recent attack on a trade market in Southern Idlib in a false-flag operation to accuse the Russians and pave the way for military intervention of the Western countries, the Arabic-language media outlets said.

The Arabic-language website of the Russian Sputnik news agency quoted local sources as disclosing that the recent missile attack on a trade market in the city of Ma'areh al-Numan was carried out by Tahrir al-Sham terrorists and by a missile from a farm in the town of Kafar Rumeh near a base of Tahrir al-Sham close to Ma'areh al-Numan.

The report said Tahrir al-Sham commanders had warned the White Helmets under their control of the missile attack 20 minutes before the attack.

It said Tahrir al-Sham meant to make use of the attack to accuse the Syrians and Russians of attacking the civilians, and also take revenge from civilians in Ma'areh al-Numan for blocking Tahrir al-Sham's entry into their city.
