Hujjat al-Islam Nazari Monfared:
The teacher of Qom seminary, saying that due to Shaabania sermon, paying attention to Quran is the main deed to be done in the month of Ramadan, mentioned that reciting Quran should be done with thinking and understanding.

RNA - Hujjat al-Islam Nazari Monfared, a teacher of Qom Seminary, congratulating the arrival of the month of Ramadan to the fasting attenders of Imam Hassan Askari (AS) mosque, said, “These days are some happy days, as God, the Almighty, has inserted his mercy and blessing inside such days and nights.”

He added, “In Shaabania sermon, the prophet of Islam has mentioned some illuminations about the month of Ramada in order to prepare the people for welcoming this month. The prophet has pointed to the material and spiritual blessings of this months, and thus, this month will highly add to the sustenance of the man.”

Pointing to the said sermon, he pointed out, “Ramadan is a feast, and different from all the worldly parties. It is replete with blessings, and if the man manages to attain them, they will remain permanently. Therefore those who don’t fast in this month will attain nothing from among the blessings of this month.”

He finally said, “Reciting a verse of Quran in this month is rewarded many times more that it is in other months, yet we should know that thinking about the Quranic content and understanding it is much more important, and the more the man reads Quran with true understanding, the more he will become interested in it.”
