The Damascus Army sent new military convoys to areas near Palmyra in Eastern Homs for cleansing operations against the remnants of the ISIL terrorist group.

RNA - A military source in Eastern Syria was quoted by the Arabic-language media outlets as saying that hundreds of the Syrian Army troops together with tens of military vehicles and heavy military equipment have been sent to al-Sukhneh region in Eastern Palmyra in Eastern Homs province.

The Syrian Army has reinforced its military positions in Eastern Homs, the source added.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army's operations in provinces across Syria.

Homs

The Syrian Army has dispatched fresh military convoys to areas near Palmyra in Eastern Homs for cleansing operations against the remnants of the ISIL terrorist group who have returned to the region through cooperation with the US-backed militants who are deployed at borders in Southeastern Syria, sources said.

Hundreds of the Syrian Army troops together with tens of military vehicles and heavy military equipment have been sent to al-Sukhneh region in Eastern Palmyra in Eastern Homs province, a military source in Eastern Syria was quoted by the Arabic-language media outlets as saying.

The Syrian Army has reinforced its military positions in Eastern Homs, the source added.

He noted that the dispatch of reinforcements by the Syrian Army to the Badiyeh of Homs is taking place while the army is preparing for imminent military operations to cleanse the several hundred ISIL terrorists who have returned to a region from Badiyeh in Eastern Homs to the surrounding areas of Bukamal in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

The source also pointed to the Terrorists' attacks on the Syrian Army's military positions in Eastern Badiyeh, specially the roads linking Syria to Iraq, and said that the Syrian Army is planning to restore security to the strategic Bukamal road which connects Syria to Iraq by conducting fresh military operations.

Idlib

The Syrian Army launched massive attacks on military convoys of Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) in Southern Idlib in response to the militants' continued attacks from the demilitarized zone in Northern Syria.

The Syrian Army units pounded Tahrir al-Sham terrorists' movements from several directions in al-Tamaeneh, Um Jalal, Um al-Khalakhil, Jorjnaz, Khan Sheikhoun, Tahtayeh and Abu Hobeh in Southern and Southeastern Idlib towards the government forces' military points.

Meantime, a military source said that the terrorists sustained heavy casualties and losses as their military convoys were destroyed.

The terrorist groups in Western Aleppo also fired mortar shells at al-Khalediyeh and New Aleppo regions as well as Sheikhan Square in the city of Aleppo.

Aleppo

Kurdish fighters intensified their military operations against Turkish Army and its allied militants in Aleppo province, destroying their joint intelligence center, media reports said.

The so-called Kurdish 'Afrin Liberation' militants destroyed a joint center of Turkey's MIT and National Liberation militants in the town of Izaz in Northwestern Aleppo, killing two intelligence officers, including one of their commanders and injuring seven others, the Kurdish-language Hawar News reported.

"The headquarters of 'Tajamo Ahrar al-Sharqiyeh' terrorist group was targeted by the Kurdish fighters, killing and injuring a number of them," battlefield sources in Afrin said.

Meantime, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that clashes have resumed between the Turkish Army and Kurdish forces in Mar'anaz axis near Izaz in Northern Aleppo.

The Afrin Liberation militants in a statement announced that they have intensified their operations against the Turkish Army and its allied militants in Northern Aleppo.

Meantime, sources said that the Kurdish fighters penetrated into the military positions of the Ankara-backed militants after fierce clashes between the two sides in al-Bab region in Northeastern Aleppo.

The Kurdish fighters attacked the militants who are allies to the Turkish Army from al-Daghbash axis near the village of Abaleh West of al-Bab city in Northeastern Aleppo, sources affiliated to the Turkey-backed militants said.

According to Fars News Agency, the sources pointed to the penetration of Kurdish fighters into one of their military points in Abaleh village, and said that at least five Turkish Army soldiers were killed and several others were wounded in the Kurdish attack.

The SOHR, meantime, pointed to very fierce clashes between Kurdish fighters and Ankara-backed militants in Northeastern Aleppo, and said that both sides sustained casualties in the clashes.

Hasaka

Children's death toll has considerably risen in al-Hawl refugee camp on the US-controlled territory in Southeastern Hasaka as the displaced people sheltered in the camp are suffering aggravating hygiene conditions, a pro-militant website reported.

The SOHR reported that at least 11 children have lost their lives in al-Hawl Camp in recent days as the hygienic and health situation of the camp has worsened and also due to an acute shortage of food and medicine.

It noted that the number of children killed in al-Hawl Camp since the beginning of 2019 has hit 271.

Earlier, the SOHR had reported that over 73,000 people are living under critical conditions at the camp.
