Karbala Friday Prayer Leader:‎
Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i ‎called for the abandonment of differences and stressed ‎that politicians must wake up from their sleep of negligence. ‎

RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the ‎‎‎Iraqi holy city of Karbala’s Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn, Hujjat al-Islam Abdul-Mahdi al-‎‎‎Karbala’i‎ ‎said, “The preoccupation of the political class with disputes and differences on ‎positions and posts has plunged the country into a cycle of instability and underdevelopment ‎‎ ‎ in comparison to others and leads to the wasting of energies and a psychological crisis for ‎the people. Also, opportunities to ‎provide services, employment opportunities and ‎development‎ for the people are lost.”‎
‎ ‎
The representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani in Karbala argued that the disputes ‎in society regarding various issues, whether between politicians or tribal elders or others, ‎have no result except defeat to the country and added, “It’s time for politicians to wake up ‎from their sleep of negligence and learn from the past and think of the people.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i stated, “When the conflict begins, the two sides will use any ‎means at any cost‎ to defeat the other party and overcome their defeat and, as each of the ‎parties involved has certain potential and capabilities, the result would weaken society.”‎

His Eminence stressed that it was necessary to solve and settle the disputes between ‎families, work and society through reconciliation and said, “Politicians must resolve the ‎disputes of society by making sacrifices and the rewards of these sacrifices ‎will be preserved ‎for them in the hereafter.”‎

He stressed the necessity of avoiding violence and said, “We hope that the tribes and fellow ‎countrymen will resort to rational methods and correct judgement in their affairs and in ‎resolving disputes‎ and avoid solving conflicts through power, violence and weapons.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i ‎stated that the disputes and problems must be referred to ‎shari’ah and the law and noted, “The tribes must know that no one is a winner in the ‎conflicts and only the opportunity to serve the people is lost.”‎
