Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Jawad Naqvi said, “There are many movements in the region where Iran and Pakistan meet and large [terrorist] networks supported by Arab countries are present there who often carry out such operations.” RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Pakistani city of Lahore, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Jawad Naqvi, the principal of Jami’at Urwat al-Wuthqa Islamic Seminary, said, “A bitter incident took place near the [Iranian] city of Zahedan. The IRGC came under suicide bomb attack and many people were martyred. Zahedan is a border area in the province of Sistan and Balouchestan, where Iran and Pakistan meet, and there are many movements in that region and large [terrorist] networks supported by Arab countries are present there who often carry out such operations.”
The Pakistani scholar added, “They perpetrated this operation and in this regard, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] issued a statement. There are various news agencies reporting that approximately forty IRGC personnel have been martyred. This was a very grievous incident.”
In other remarks, he said, “Another concern is Afghanistan. Afghanistan has become pregnant for a new birth. Just as in the way an animal becomes pregnant and gives birth to child, the same way events, incidents are born and they are born from the same womb which nurtures the sperm of sedition.’
Hujjat al-Islam Naqvi stated, “The Commander of the Faithful [Imam Ali] has mentioned the birth of sedition, its growth, nurturing and fighting against it. We have discussed this sermon in one series of lectures. I have mentioned about this how sedition is born, spread and how they destroy things. Some lands are barren but some are not, instead they are prepared for the birth and nurturing that egg. Afghanistan is such a land which is ready for these incidents.”
His Eminence continued, “For these incidents which take place outside Afghanistan, they are prepared. Pakistan is also prepared for sedition. There are countries in our neighbourhood such as China, which isn’t ready to accept sedition. The biggest obstacle to sedition in China is the culture – the civilization there doesn’t accept external sedition. They are barren in regards to sedition.”
He stressed, “In Pakistan, the culture is highly fertile to give birth to sedition in abundance. For the past forty years, Afghanistan has been under the dominance of sedition and not a single day has passed in which there has been no destruction there. The same is true in regard to its neighbour, Pakistan. The Afghan people have spread out and now there are about 2.5 million Afghans in Pakistan and they have also emigrated to various other countries.”
Hujjat al-Islam Naqvi said, “Those present in Afghanistan are also the victims of these same issues. Another act of sedition is about to be created and it’s currently being prepared there. The United States is leaving Afghanistan abruptly and has announced that they are withdrawing their forces. When they pull out their forces, they know what they have to do and what is going to happen there and therefore, they are securely withdrawing their forces so that they don’t suffer in the events which are going to happen afterwards.”
He stated, “The Taliban are again being prepared for another stage now. They have been specifically nurtured for this. First they were created in Afghanistan, then the same movement was divided into two. One branch is in Afghanistan and the second branch is in Pakistan. Then, they were divided further but at their core, they are all the same. They are a group that can do anything and prepared to do anything for anyone. If they want to create insecurity in Pakistan or in Afghanistan they will carry it out immediately. The entire world knows that this group can be of use to anyone and they have used in this manner.”
In conclusion, he said, “Now they are being prepared for new phase. The Americans are withdrawing from Afghanistan and our Minister of Foreign Affairs [Shah Mahmoud Qurayshi] has also announced, and he has stated with insight that this dramatic move by the United States isn’t good.”
