Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i strongly criticized the provision of the factional and ‎political interests of the authorities over issues which benefit the public.‎

RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in ‎the Iraqi holy city of Karbala’s Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn, Hujjat al-Islam Abdul-Mahdi ‎al-Karbala’i said, “The provision of personal and factional interests and benefits over issues ‎of public interest is a sign of the destruction of society.”‎
‎ ‎
The representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani in Karbala emphasized the ‎necessity of favouring others and stated, “Interests are divided into two parts: personal and ‎public. Sometimes we speak of civil rights, and sometimes we are asking for the ‎examination of tribal, religious, ethnic, religious, and political interests.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i said, “Giving attention to personal interests is an inherent problem ‎of every human being but when it comes to the problem of preferring personal matters to ‎the interests of others and not thinking of anything and anyone but one’s own interests, this ‎type of thinking is not at all correct and the most dangerous state is when we want to obtain ‎that which benefits us personally by harming others.”‎
