Rasa - The trusteeship of the holy shrine of Imam Ali in Najaf announced daily distribution of more than 240,000 meals inside the shrine of Imam Ali (AS).

RNA - According to Rasa News Agency, Seyyed Isa al-Kharsan, one of the officials of trusteeship of Imam Ali’s holy shrine announced during a press conference that the office distributes more than 240,000 meals to Arbaeen pilgrims in the courtyard of Fatima al-Zahra (SA).

 

"More than 70 thousand pilgrims are resting in the newly established Fatima al-Zahra courtyard, and officials have opened the four floors of the courtyard to serve the pilgrims,” he added.

 

According to the trusteeship, the meals will be distributed eight different points of the courtyard in order for pilgrims to be more comfortable.

 

"The courtyard is divided into two sections dedicated to women and men, and each section has 125 places for ablution, drinking water and W.C,” Seyyed Isa al-Kharsan continued.

 

Meanwhile, Abdul Rasul Jawad Jafar, head of the administrative department of the holy shrine, said in an interview with reporters: “More than 3,000 honorary servants in various sectors will serve millions of pilgrims of the day of Arbaeen.”

 

He said: "The more we get closer to the day of Arbaeen, the demand for becoming honorary servants is also increasing. Accordingly, we have tasked the special headquarter of Arbaeen with organizing and distributing honorary servants throughout the holy shrine during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

 

Hojatoleslam Sheikh Abdul Sadeh al-Jaberi, head of the religious affairs of trusteeship of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS), also told reporters that the trusteeship has set up “special booths with the aim of correcting Quran reading skills of prayers and answering their religious questions.”
