Rasa – The Secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council noted that it is wrong that the Saudi regime is spending the money of the Islamic world on American-made arms and added that they should not seek adventure in the region because the US will abandon them, just like it did with Iran’s Pahlavi regime and Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak.

RNA – Speaking on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Major-General Ali Sayad-Shirazi at the General Headquarters of Iran’s Armed Forces’ Jehad Mosque, Mohsen Rezaei said that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran follow the path of Imam Husayn and added that the country’s armed forces would never threaten anyone or any other county and will resist the enemies until their last drop of blood.

The Secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council noted that over the years, Iran has used the valuable experience of the eight-year Iran-Iraq War and added that due to the unwavering efforts of Iran’s Supreme Leader, today the country sees the strength of its armed forces to the extent that these organs have increased their services in the areas of training, exchanging experiences and assisting other Islamic countries which have been invaded by the enemies.

Rezaei said the past 37 years has proven that Iran has not initiated any war or threat and that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not seek adventure in the region but this issue does not mean that the enemies should consider Iran old-fashioned.

“They want to take advantage of the country’s honour because this would lead them to witness Iran’s brave defence, just as it demonstrated during the Iran-Iraq War,” he said.

The Iranian politician explained that Iran are still witnessing the disloyalty of the United States over the JCPOA and now, the US is bringing up Iran’s missile program whereas Iran’s missile program is a deterrent system and is not negotiable by any means, especially with the US, “which has proven to have no qualification to negotiate over security issues in the world as the US itself is the epicentre of insecurity in the world.”

Rezaei referred to Saudi Arabia’s military ties with the US, noting that it is wrong that the Saudi regime is spending the money of the Islamic world on American-made arms and added that they should not seek adventure in the region because the US will abandon them, just like it did with Iran’s Pahlavi regime and Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak.
