RNA - On Thursday, Syrian army forces formally raised the national flag over the Southern city. The main city in the nation’s South-West, Syria has been recovering this area from the Qaeda-allied terrorist groups for weeks, and has largely taken all of the territory. The army now needs to capture parts of the provincial capital from terrorists' rule before they could declare the Southern province entirely free.
Sadly, some foreign-backed terrorists are still active in Northern Syria, mostly in Idlib province and the surrounding area. The Syrian government has not provided an indication of when they intend to push deeper into these areas, but do seem to be headed toward reunifying the country after years of US-imposed war and occupation.
Fighting over the Dara’a area was limited only to certain districts, with Russia having negotiated deals whereby terrorists would disarm, and the area would revert to government control as part of the deal. These deals have been largely successful in Dara’a and in nearby towns. There is no reason to think why Idlib cannot follow suit – even if it would also require subduing the terrorists without fighting.
After all, a number of elites and senior officials in the militant-held regions of Idlib have also called on the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria to pave the ground for bringing their regions back under the control of the Syrian Army as well. The Russian center says a large-scale popular uprising is now very much likely to happen in Idlib, adding that as soon as the army forces arrive at Idlib border the civilian population will certainly join them.
There is no denying that there is evil in this world but the light will always conquer the darkness. The Syrian government and allies liberated Dara’a because they don’t preach darkness and because the Sun does not abandon the Moon to darkness.
Unlike the United States and its regional allies which want to occupy the war-torn country permanently so that they could bomb its people forever, the allied forces of Syria, Iran, Russia and Hezbollah never inspire hope-only shadows in their ongoing war on terror. They always try and find the light in their international commitments and words. By liberating Dara’a they have done just that – just as the way they liberated Deir Ezzur and other areas earlier.
Still, this does in no way mean that the United States and its allies will now let go of their regime change campaign and leave. As before, they will try and use the bogus war on ISIL as an excuse to prolong their occupation and regime-change war in Syria.
Despite the fact that ISIL has been defeated, the US will try to create a war situation by building illegal military bases deep into the Syrian territory. The reason for this is obvious. The War Party and the Military-Industrial Complex benefit through war. This is an orchestration of a clash in post-ISIL Syria.
According to Fars News Agancy, Washington further regards Iran and Russia as checks on its ability to act unilaterally, and will try to get rid of Iran and Russia as constraints of its power. This is a problem that confronts the whole region as well. The only sure way to fight back is for Iran and Russia to help the Syrian government and army to advance in the war, liberate the rest of the country from terrorists, and take away this last pretext from America for permanent occupation and war, which we all know is only designed to protect Israel.
For the time being though, the long-suffering people of Syria and the rest of the international civil society should celebrate the liberation of Dara’a. It’s yet another blow to those who want to kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.
