One of the senior sources of emulation in Najaf met with a delegation of Chinese workers in support of plans that would advance Iraq. According to Rasa News Agency’s correspondent in Najaf, a group of Chinese workers met with Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, one of the revered sources of emulation based in the Iraqi holy city of Najaf.
During the meeting, His Eminence stated that the sources of emulation support any plan that is in the best interest of Iraq and the Iraqi people and added, “The projects that are being carried out in Iraq must be scientific and solve the problems of this country.”
Ayatollah al-Najafi emphasized the need for an exchange of elites and added, “Any project implemented in Iraq must be transparent, truthful and pursued in a serious manner.”
Up to 1,200 Chinese engineers and workers are working hard with their Iraqi counterparts on a project to build a 1,260-megawatt power station in Salahuddin governorate which is expected to be finished by the end of next year.
