Najaf Friday Prayer Leader:‎
Hujjat al-Islam ‎‎‎al-‎Qubanchi reiterated that the Zionist occupation regime is deeply afraid of ‎the followers of Imam Ali and Imam al-Husayn in Iraq.‎

According to the correspondent of Rasa News Agency in Najaf Ashraf, in his Friday prayer sermon, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadruddin al-‎‎Qubanchi referred to the various Israeli actions against Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces in ‎recent days and said, “The attacks by the Zionist occupation regime against the Popular ‎Mobilization Forces won’t remain without a strong response.”‎

The Iraqi Shi’ah scholar said, “Israel is pushing the region toward war because it doesn’t ‎want stability in the region and is deeply afraid of the followers of Imam Ali and Imam al-‎Husayn in Iraq.”‎

He reiterated, “Although some Arab countries supported Israel invasion of Iraq, Lebanon ‎and Yemen, the Iraqi forces aren’t helpless against the regime.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam ‎‎‎al-‎Qubanchi condemned the statement made by Khalid ibn Ahmad Al Khalifah, ‎the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, that Israel had the right to target the positions of ‎the Popular Mobilization Forces under the pretext of defending itself.‎

His Eminence said, “Although our opinion is that Israel is an usurper, our forces didn’t attack ‎it but on the contrary, the Zionist occupation regime has taken provocative positions.”‎
‎ ‎
Hujjat al-Islam ‎‎‎al-‎Qubanchi stressed that the Zionist occupation regime couldn’t stand against ‎Iraq and would soon be defeated and said, “Defending Iraq and protecting its lands is the ‎right of the Iraqi people.”‎

It’s noteworthy that missile and drone strikes have been launched against four different ‎bases belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq over the past month, starting with ‎the explosion of a munitions warehouse in Amirli, Salahuddin governorate.‎
