Ayatollah Sobhani, saying that there is no common point between the believers and the infidels, mentioned that the true believer never conducts such hypocritical deeds.

RNA - Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, a source of emulation, in his 16th Quran interpretation course, held in Hujjatiah Seminary’s praying hall, interpreted the verse no. 69 of Tawba Surah and said, “Through this verse, God points to what ultimately happened to the predecessors and mentions their wrongdoings and disobediences so that Muslims may take some lessons.”

Saying that God never wrongs any person, he stated, “The punishments and maladies happening to the man are the results of his deeds, as God never punishes anyone due to cruelty.”

Reciting the verse no. 70 of Tawba Surah, he said that some attributes of the true believers include enjoining the good and forbidding the wrong, performing the prayer, almsgiving, obedience to God and the prophet and etc.

Saying that there is no common point between the true believers and the infidels, Ayatollah Sobhani stressed, “A true believer never commits any heretical deeds, as no heretical characteristic is present in the believers, and if someone missteps hypocritically, s/he is no longer a believer.”
