Beirut Friday Prayer Leader:‎
Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam Fadhlullah ‎said that the Palestinian people have suffered for many ‎years and hunger has ‎been imposed on them but they will never accept humiliation.‎

RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Beirut ‎‎suburb of Haret Hrayk’s Imamayn al-Hasanayn Mosque, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ali Fadhlullah ‎ ‎‎referred to the issue of Palestine and said, “Forgetting al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the right of ‎return of the Palestinian people to their lands is part of the so-called ‘Deal of the Century.’”‎

Referring to a upcoming conference which will be held in Bahrain in regard to Palestine, the ‎renowned Lebanese Shi’ah scholar said, “The people of the Arab and Islamic countries, as ‎far as they know, have no political solution to the Palestinian issue, and with such issues, the ‎lost rights of the people of Palestine cannot be resurrected.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam Fadhlullah ‎said that the Palestinian people have suffered for many years and ‎hunger has been imposed on them but they will never accept humiliation and added, ‎‎“Therefore, they must not be treated like people who are looking for food – rather they ‎demand freedom, dignity and the full realization of their rights in their own lands.”‎
‎ ‎
He celebrated Liberation Day, named for the victory over the Zionist regime and the ‎liberation of Lebanon from the Zionist regime and said, “This small country defeated the ‎Zionist occupying regime despite all its strength and supporters, and forced them to retreat ‎from the occupied territories of Lebanon without any condition. For the first time in its ‎history, Israel suffered such a defeat.”‎

It is worthy to note that May 25th, 2000 was a brilliant day in Lebanon. It marks Liberation ‎Day, the day which marks the peak of the years of struggle, resistance, and heroism wherein ‎the people of Lebanon confronted the Israeli enemies and expelled the Zionist occupiers ‎from all of the territory it had occupied in southern Lebanon, marking the end of the South ‎Lebanon conflict (1985–2000) and a great victory by the Islamic Resistance against the ‎Zionist regime.‎
