Najaf Friday Prayer Leader:‎
Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi ‎said, “The presence of the heads of the parliaments of ‎Iraq’s neighbours in Baghdad is a positive step in the condition that these countries don’t ‎interference in Iraq’s affairs.”‎

RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in ‎‎the ‎‎‎Iraqi holy city of Najaf’s al-Fatimiyah al-Kubra Husayniyah, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid ‎‎Sadruddin ‎‎‎al-Qubanchi‎ ‎welcomed the holding of a conference ‎with the heads of the Kuwaiti, Saudi and ‎Jordanian parliament in Baghdad and said, “If this conference doesn’t lead to interference in ‎Iraq’s internal, political, and international affairs, it is a positive step.”‎
‎ ‎
Referring to the international coalition’s acknowledgment of murdering of 1,257 Iraqi and ‎Syrian citizens, the Iraqi Shi’ah scholar ‎added, “The international coalition must determine the ‎fate of 3,000 kidnapped Yazidi youth in Iraq.” ‎

He said, “Iraqi officials must deal with places that promote corruption and nihilism because ‎they deceive the youth and this leads to the destruction of families.” ‎

In another part of his Friday sermon, Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi said, “The Sha’ban Intifada ‎‎–the uprising of the Iraqi people against the country’s former Ba’ath regime – was a ‎milestone in Iraqi history on March 1, 1992 and it led to a change in international stances ‎toward Saddam Husayn, the former dictator of Iraq. The current freedom in Iraq is due to ‎the blessings of the blood and sacrifices of that time.”‎

In his sermon on religious issues, His Eminence said, “Thought, good deeds, contentment, ‎trust, reliance on God and tolerance are factors in human happiness.”‎
‎ ‎
It should be noted that Marzouq Ali al-Ghanim, the speaker of Kuwait’s parliament, said that ‎the heads of the Kuwaiti, Saudi and Jordanian parliaments have decided to attend the ‎conference of the heads of parliaments of Iraq’s neighbours, held in Baghdad. ‎

In his thought-provoking remarks, he called on Arab parliaments to come to an agreement ‎not to empty the space for other countries and said, “Arab countries must act and ‎emphasize the expansion of Arab influence inside Iraq.”‎
‎ ‎
According to al-Ghanim, Abdullah Al Shaykh, the head of the Consultative Assembly of Saudi ‎Arabia, announced that a conference with the heads of the parliaments of the Arab Persian ‎Gulf countries will be held in Jeddah in late March and all of the presidents of the member ‎countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council will be invited to participate.‎
