Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam Ali Eslami said that negotiating with the United States has no ‎consequence except loss for Iran and added, “Due to the obvious disloyalty of the United ‎States, there is no longer a place to negotiate with them.”‎

RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Ali Eslami, the ‎representative of the people of Qazvin in the Assembly of Experts, referred the unreliability ‎of the United States and said, “In treaties and transactions, we cannot accept the promises ‎of the other party without the principle of ‘trust.’”‎

The Iranian cleric and politician continued, “Throughout history, every time we have ‎compromised with the United States and have acted in regard to their demands, we have ‎met with betrayal and non-compliance in regard to treaties. Therefore, we must learn from ‎all of our past experiences and never pursue the United States.” ‎

Stating that negotiating with the United States has no consequence except loss for Iran, he ‎said, “Due to the obvious disloyalty of the United States, there is no longer a place to ‎negotiate with them. Today everyone knows that the United States isn’t trustworthy and ‎committed to its obligations.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam Eslami said that the United States didn’t even have mercy on Mohammad ‎Mossadegh, the former prime minister of Iran from 1951 until 1953, and added, “The August ‎‎19, 1953 coup d’état [Operation Ajax] appeared to have ended in the name of the United ‎Kingdom but it was the United States that, through its betrayal and stabbing Mossadegh in ‎the back, they defeated him and his popular government.”‎

His Eminence emphasized that we don’t have any confidence in the United States under any ‎circumstances and stressed, “Our past experiences are indicative of the disloyalty of the ‎United States and thus, we are obligated to not have the slightest desire and inclination ‎toward them in accordance with the verses of the Holy Quran. The United States isn’t ‎trustworthy and is always seeking to deceive us.”‎

He emphasized that the Islamic Republic has no need to negotiate with the United States ‎and noted, “Does the United States give us facilities? If the United States speaks truthfully, ‎they will deliver the passenger aircraft parts that we had brought for decades to us. The ‎United States stops our aircraft in a oppressive and usurping manner and claims to put them ‎in storage. In this regard, how can the United States benefit this country?”‎

Hujjat al-Islam Eslami emphasized, “How can we reconcile with the Americans while every ‎day they seek to create terror and make the borders of the country insecure and in addition ‎to threatening the Iranian people, they provoke the enemies of the country? The United ‎States won’t benefit us in any way and thus, some officials must not insist on negotiating ‎and compromising with the United States. I wonder why some think that the United States ‎will benefit us!” ‎
